Embajador de Panamá Marcelino Aviles es recibido por el Governador General de Australia/ The Governor-General of Australia receives Panama’s, Ambassador Marcelino Aviles.
The First Resident Ambassador of Panama, Marcelino Aviles Valdespino, was received by the Governor-General of Australia, His Excellency the Hounorable David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), with whom he discussed the achievements obtained during the first two years of the Diplomatic Mission such as: Establishing the physical offices, the first Embassy to be part of the Canberra Business Chamber, forming the SICA Australia group, and the establishment of the pillars for the bilateral Chamber of Commerce and Parliamentary Friendship League.
We are initiating the pillars for the Chamber of Commerce and the bilateral Parliamentary Friendship League. Initiate diplomatic agreements, agriculture, Work and Holiday Visa, educational agreements between universities, obtain 74,000 online scholarships and two on-site scholarships, provide scholarships to two Australians and a professor in Panama.
Show the benefits of Panamanian culture through festivals, attract investments to Panama shortly of several million dollars in clean energy such as the 5B Company of Sydney. Registration of nationals and increase of Panamanian students in Australia, cooperation in indigenous affairs, gender, maritime, among others.
Governor Hurley, who visited our country in 1997, was impressed by the operation of the Panama Canal and the beauty of its nature and wished Ambassador Aviles success in his new challenges.

El Primer Embajador residente de Panamá, Marcelino Aviles Valdespino fue recibido por el Governador General de Australia Su Excelencia General Honorable Senor David Hurley AC DSC (Retd), con quién conversó sobre los logros obtenidos durante los 2 primeros años de la Misión Diplomática como por ejemplo: Lograr establecer las oficinas físicas, la primera Embajada en ser parte de la Camara de Negocios de Canberra, formar el grupo SICA Australia.
Inciar los pilares para la Cámara de Comercio y la Liga de Amistad Parlamentaria bilateral. Inicio de convenios diplomáticos, agricultura, work and Holiday Visa, educativos entre universidades, obtener 74 mil becas online y 2 presenciales, becar a dos autralianos y un profesor en Panamá.
Mostrar las bondades de la cultura panameña por medio de los festivales, atraer inversiones hacia Panamá en un futuro cercano de varios millones de dólares en energia limpia como por ejemplo la Empresa 5B de Sydney. Registro de los nacionales y aumento de estudiantes panameños en Australia, cooperación en asuntos indígenas, género, marítima, entre otros.
El gobernador Hurley, visitó nuestro país en 1997, quedando impresionado por el funcionamiento del Canal del Panama y la belleza de su naturaleza; por lo que le deseó exito en su nuevos desafíos al Embajador Avilés.
