Today August 9, International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples, our diplomatic mission pays tribute to the indigenous communities and First Nations of Panama and Canada.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The multiculturalism of both nations is represented in this photograph by the historical and ancestral symbolism of the Kwakiutl Totem of the Kwawkewith peoples from Britsh Colombia (Canada), which was donated to the City of Ottawa (Confederation Park) back in 1871 and by the diversity embodied by the colors and fabrics called Paruma used by the Embera-Wounaan peoples, located in the Darien National Park (Panama)<\/div>\n
