Estudio de la Universidad Nacional de Australia revela que Panam\u00e1 en el socio comercial m\u00e1s importante en Centroam\u00e9rica con casi USD7 billones.<\/strong><\/p>\n

En coordinaci\u00f3n con el Programa de Intercambios de la Universidad Nacional de Australia, a cargo del se\u00f1or Lawrence Brown. El estudiante Guillermo Becerra quien realiza una pasant\u00eda de la Universidad de California – Santa B\u00e1rbara, realiz\u00f3 una investigaci\u00f3n sobre las ventajas del sistema log\u00edstico paname\u00f1o para las empresas australianas. En el mismo se destac\u00f3, que dos l\u00edneas mar\u00edtimas directas ya existen entre ambas naciones que transportan los productos hacia America Latina y el Este de los Estados Unidos. Entre el 2018 – 2019, un total de 6 empresas transnacionales australianas han decidido establecerse en nuestro territorio en este a\u00f1o del inicio de operaciones de la nueva Embajada de Panam\u00e1 en Canberra.<\/p>\n

El estudio, tambi\u00e9n revel\u00f3 que algunos de los potenciales productos paname\u00f1os son Caf\u00e9, Cacao, ron, pi\u00f1a, y las artesan\u00edas de los Guna Yala, entre otros. Mientras que las oportunidades de inversiones para los australianos en Panam\u00e1, son: Miner\u00eda, energ\u00eda limpia e infraestructura. Las compa\u00f1\u00edas \u00a0Australianas exportan poco a Latinoam\u00e9rica por la falta de infraestructura de almacenaje. Pero, Panam\u00e1 con la Zona Libre de Col\u00f3n, suple esta necesidad. A study conducted by the Australian National University (ANU) shows that Panama is the most important trading partner in Central America with almost USD 7 billion. In coordination with ANU’s exchange program, and the Australian National Internships Program directed by Lawrence Brown, Guillermo Becerra, an exchange student from the University of California Santa Barbara and intern at the Embassy of Panama conducted an investigation examining the benefits Panama’s logistics platform offers to Australian companies. The findings revealed that there are already two direct maritime lines between the nations that transport products to Latin America and the east coast of the United States. Between 2018-2019, a total of 6 Australian transnational companies decided to establish themselves in Panamanian territory, at the start of operations of the new Embassy of Panama in Canberra.
\nThe study also revealed that Panamanian products such as coffee, cocoa, rum, pineapple, the crafts of Guna Yala, and others have potential in Australia’s markets. As for Australians, investment opportunities in Panama include mining, clean energy, and infrastructure. Australian companies export little to Latin America due to a lack of storage infrastructure, but Panama with the Colon Free Zone satisfies this need, and is the second largest re-export zone in the world.<\/p>\n
