El Honorable se\u00f1or Kenneth George Wyatt AM MP, Ministro para ind\u00edgenas australianos, recibi\u00f3 en su despacho al Embajador de Panam\u00e1, Marcelino Avil\u00e9s, donde conversaron sobre los abor\u00edgenes que cuentan con la civilizaci\u00f3n mas Antigua del mundo registrada, con mas de 50 mil a\u00f1os, una incredible historia y mas de 250 diferentes dialectos hablados hasta la actualidad.<\/p>\n
El Embajador Avil\u00e9s, por su parte explic\u00f3 que en nuestra naci\u00f3n existen 7 diferentes grupos originarios, que habitan en Comarcas por medio de una legislaci\u00f3n \u00fanica, que ha permitido que se mantengan las costumbres y tradiciones ancentrales.<\/p>\n
Se discuti\u00f3 sobre la posibilidad de un Grupo de Amistad Interparlamentario, actividades para el empoderamiento de las mujeres ind\u00edgenas como las parteras y la medicina tradicional, el Cambio Clim\u00e1tico, entre otros temas, por medio de la transferencia de conocimiento, entre grupos de ambos pa\u00edses.<\/p>\n
El Minstro Wyatt AM, ha sido miembro de la C\u00e1mara de Representantes desde 2010, en representaci\u00f3n de la Divisi\u00f3n de Hasluck del Partido Liberal. Es el primer ind\u00edgena australiano elegido para la C\u00e1mara de Representantes, el primero en ejercer como Ministro de gobierno y el primero en ser nombrado para el gabinete.<\/p>\n
Se le obsequi\u00f3 una Mola de estilo antiguo, confeccionada por las manos de nuestro pueblo Guna Yala.<\/p>\n

The Honorable Kenneth George Wyatt AM MP, Minister for Indigenous Australians, received in his office the Ambassador of Panama, Marcelino Avil\u00e9s, where they talked about Aboriginal Australians who; have the oldest recorded civilization in the world, being more than 50 thousand years old; an incredible history; and more than 250 different dialects spoken.<\/p>\n
Ambassador Avil\u00e9s explained that in our nation there are 7 different native groups that live in Comarcas through a unique legislation that has allowed the maintenance of ancestral customs and traditions.<\/p>\n
They discussed the possibility of an Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, activities for the empowerment of Indigenous women as midwives and traditional medicine, and climate change, among other issues, through the transfer of knowledge between groups in both countries.<\/p>\n
Minster Wyatt AM has been a member of the House of Representatives since 2010, representing the Liberal Party’s Hasluck Division. He is the first Indigenous Australian to be elected to the House of Representatives, the first to serve as a Government Minister and the first to be appointed to the Cabinet.<\/p>\n
