Panama is the first Latin American country to do this. The evening consisted of a small ceremony, which can be seen on our Facebook, with many VIPs and dignitaries in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>The Carillon was a gift given by Her Majesty Isabel II, on the 50<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary of the City of Canberra in 1970. It is situated in Lake Burley Griffin, an icon of Canberra.<\/p>\n<p>The colours illuminating the Carillon were that of the Panama Flag, which mean the following;<\/p>\n<p>The colour Blue: represents the Conservative Party;<\/p>\n<p>The colour Red: represents the Liberal Party;<\/p>\n<p>The colour White: represents the peace that created the new nation<\/p>\n<p>The blue star: symbolizes the purity and honesty that reigns in civic life<\/p>\n<p>The red star: symbolizes the authority and the law that imposes the rules of these virtues.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/fb.watch\/2iDYu5a20k\/<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El viernes 27 de noviembre, la Embajada de Panam\u00e1 en Australia, al celebrar el Mes de la Patria, ilumin\u00f3 el Carill\u00f3n Nacional de Canberra con los colores de la bandera paname\u00f1a. Panam\u00e1 es el primer pa\u00eds latinoamericano en hacerlo. La velada consisti\u00f3 en una peque\u00f1a ceremonia, que se puede ver en nuestro Facebook, con la asistencia de muchos VIPs y dignatarios.<\/p>\n<p>El carill\u00f3n fue un regalo de Su Majestad Isabel II, en el 50 aniversario de la ciudad de Canberra en 1970.
