Panama is a destination that complies with biosafety protocols following international standards in the prevention of Coronavirus (COVID-19), this was recently certified by the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) by granting the Safe Travels seal to the country.
With this certification, confidence is generated in travellers to visit Panama and the strategy of differentiation and innovation is reinforced, offering authentic tourist experiences, based on the natural and cultural heritage of the country.
They emphasize that this seal will be awarded to companies and service providers of the tourism industry through the National Chamber of Tourism (CAMTUR), in due coordination with the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP), since it is a mandatory requirement that first, the national protocols are complied with by the Ministry of Health (MINSA) and the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (MITRADEL).
In this sense, the CAMTUR together with the ATP are looking for a way to promote safe tourism in Panama, therefore, the tourism sector is being organized, both for unionized companies or not, they can obtain this Safe Travels seal by meeting the requirements established.
